Going With the Flow

Well we've moved from Corona to Orange for the time being. We quickly realized that home is where we make it. The kids adjusted so quickly, and we are cozy and happy. We truly will make home wherever we are all together. We're grateful for the timing of how it all worked out, and are enjoying making memories each and every day.

The kids are our world, and they keep us busy! Seeing them interact and play together more and more each day is so neat. Savi is still loving her ballet class and always wants to know if it's almost Monday. Mr. Luke is officially walking all around town, and is still all about throwing the ball.

Lucas' 1st Birthday

Cheeese. This was his birthday smile!

He chose RA Sushi for dinner, so we went on his actual birthday. We have church Wednesday nights, and it's become our norm to have dinner with The Walkers, so we did our usual. He had a blast of course when we sang to him. He really is such a happy boy!

He couldn't wait to see what Bon Bon had gotten him.

His birthday cake that Grandma made for him.

Granddaddy fed him lunch, and of course he was happy all day at his party!

Savi girl getting excited for the animals to come...

The alpaca had us all cracking up.

Mr. Lucas wanted to hold and hug the rabbits.

'Dog, dog.'
He calls every animal dog, so the rabbit was a 'dog' to him too.

Yummmm

He was so proud of himself, he's definitely all boy!
He made a mess of it all and was happy as ever doing so.

He's officially done!

Daddy cleaned him up, and he ended the day opening all of his presents.
Thank you to all who made his 1st Birthday so special.
We love you Lukey!

Lucas is ONE!

Our little man is officially 1 year old! He had a great time celebrating his first birthday with a few friends and our family. Pictures to come...

He was such a happy boy and loved the animals. He put his hands out and would point to the rabbits. He loves animals and refers to most as 'dog,' 'dog'. His cake (that Grandma made of course) and frosting was painted all over his face and body after his birthday song. He was such a mess, daddy had to give him a bath to clean him up. He is taking many steps now and will walk from one end of the room to the next. I think he is surprised with himself when he does it, or maybe my cheering gets him all excited. He'll be a full on walker real soon.

His one-year doctor check up...he weighs 23 pounds and is 30 inches tall. He is in the 75th percentile. The doctor came in as he was throwing a little soft baseball toy and commented on his throw. He would point to it when the doctor would catch it; he was impressed with him. The doctor said he is one strong boy! He also told Savannah, as she sat in the chair so properly smiling and watching each and every detail the doctor took part in, to start working out since her brother is a strong one. She thought that was pretty funny. All of his development is right on track and he's doing great. We are so blessed with our healthy babies. A day doesn't go by that I don't thank God for their health.

Picture Catch Up

Lucas 10 1/2 months.

Justin, Daddy and Trevor at the Tough Mudder

Love his little lips

Savi is all about picking out her outfit from head to toe.
From her 'two buns' to her 'ballet shoes.'

Two of my sweet nieces and my loves.

He wants the whole thing!

Ballet has been so much fun! The half hour ends with a little
gymnastics, which she loves.

One of my favorite family outings: Dos Lagos to see the duckies.
Auntie Michelle is so sweet to spend a few days of her
much awaited break from school with us.

He LOVES his bath.

Easter egg hunt...he is such a happy boy! 11 1/2 months.

Savi had a blast riding on the train at Irvine Park after the Easter egg hunt.

Gotta love Petco! My babies just love animals. I love teaching them and seeing
the simple and free things they love.

Savannah's Latests

Little Miss Savannah is starting ballet class on Monday, she is quite thrilled to say the least.
She now knows the days of the week, so she is asking me if it's Monday yet.
She is doing such a good job at night with no diaper, we are officially, fully potty-trained!
Our special time is in the morning when she comes into my room. I love cuddling with her and praying with her and watching her little morning show with her. We talk about the lesson of the day, and wow she really gets it.
We love to do crafts, paint, and sort. She loves to help me in the kitchen up on her stool. I love that she offers to help me. She already has such a sweet and giving heart.
Princesses and birthdays and Yogi have been a hot topic in our home.
She is getting excited for her brother's birthday and has been doing little crafts with me to prepare.
Our night routine is such a special time too...it just melts my heart when I hear her sweet voice say, 'I'll see you in the mornin' mommy' and 'I love you sooo much.'

We love our babies, cherish them, and can't believe how fast time is going by.

Lucas and His Latests

He now has 4 teeth-two top, two bottom.
He is such a happy boy and wants to go! If he could run right now he would. He walks along everything and will try to take steps and fall completely on his face, but gets right back up and keeps going.
Lucas' demeanor is quite happy. When he's hungry he let's us know, but for the most part he is such a smiley little love.
My favorite time is when I get him up in the morning or from a nap, he buries his head into his bed and gets all giddy, and of course all smiles. His new thing is he is standing and laughing when I come in.
He loves throwing his football and little plastic balls across the room-he's all boy.
He will eat any and everything that comes his way. Savannah breaks food up for him, and he loves it.
His words are dadda, dog, and yesterday, mama! It's just babble, but hey I'm counting it.
He points to the moon and his head. We are working on colors, so he doesn't have them down yet.
I love his smile, his interest in all that's going on, watching him watch Savannah and seeing him play rough with Mike.
I can't believe he will be one next month!

10 Months

Our little love is already 10 months!

I'd have to say this is probably one of his happiest places. This boy loves to eat, and eat it all! There is nothing he won't eat. He has been eating what we eat for the last couple months, and he always wants more. He is such a happy boy!

After church last Sunday we went to one of our favorite places. We went to our free animal field trip to PETCO.  My little teacher in training was giving Lucas a lesson and talking to him about the fish. They love animals, we are in there for about an hour. These are the things I just love doing with my babies.

This picture cracks me up. Savi is all about silly faces these days. They picked out some treats for Rock and thought it was so funny seeing him try to chew the bone. This is pretty typical that Luke either has no shirt on because he's gotten food or milk all over it, or no pants because they're wet. He keeps us laughing and is doing something new each week. He loves clapping and rolling when we sing pat-a-cake. He waves with his left arm straight out, and he is crawling everywhere. He is such a strong boy and loves pulling himself up on everything. Now when Savannah is on the couch with her 'cozy' blanket Luke will go over to her and try to pull it off and get up on the couch next to her. That's a funny one to watch. Oh, and he loves saying Dadadadada and patting your shoulder. He gets shy and buries his head down when we say it back to him. They are so much fun, we're loving seeing how different they are and embracing their little personalities.
