Little Brother's Room

Priceless

Mike is such an amazing daddy. He said he was taking Savannah to go help him while I was finishing dishes after dinner, and he sure meant what he said! It was so cute seeing him in there teaching her what to do. She has his mind all the way. She wants to know how it works, and won't stop until she gets it right. She had so much fun.

Mike's patience is admirable.
He takes time to teach her working and curious mind.
I'll post more as 'they' continue on the baby's room.

Annual Mammoth Trip

Savi was such a good girl on the ride up to Mammoth.
We stopped to eat breakfast at the Ranch Restaurant with the fam.

Her newest, and most frequent word of the trip was 'ice' ice' ice'
Savannah's cousins love her so much. I can't tell you how many of these Hanna must have gotten for Savi. They had so much fun eating them...

Cousin LOVE
We have so much fun taking the bus/tram around the city to go visit the village and see the group that's snowboarding. The kids love the ride on the gondola up to the mountain.
What a cute pic of the 'Little Diersings'

My little independent girl.
We went to visit daddy and her aunts and uncles for lunch while they were all snowboarding.
She had so much to look at, and loved eating the snow.

ArT FuN

The last few days we've been grateful, thanking the Lord for watching over our family, content, and joyful!
Prayers being answered is so amazing and makes you speechless. God has truly watched over us, our friends and loved ones.

Savi loved her edible art class, and playing with her friends later at the park. The kids were such a mess when we were done-I love it! They could care less, well actually Savannah is all about washing her hands, so when she was done she showed me her hands and rubbed them together and said yes-which of course mommy knows means, "I want to wash my hands."

It wouldn't be Savannah if she didn't try to eat it, so yes, she tasted the 'brown paint' which was chocolate pudding. And this is her new little position she sits in.

She left all of the the art fun to go get her bag when she thought she was done and said bye bye. She decided she was done with art...she's got her mind made up. I got her to keep doing art, but needed her bag right by her. I love her initiative.

Savannah's Latest

Starting to think I should change our website to 'Savannah's Days.' I just love her so much she's seems to continue to be the topic of our blog, but hey she's what has completed us and our family thus far :)

Savi's latest loves and 'does'...

building with her new blocks
BABY DOLLS and of course all the accessories that come with them-strollers, clothes, bottles etc.
baby bottles that have fake milk and orange juice in them
answering us
repeating everything we ask her to say-even if it's just jibberish
yogurt
string cheese
peaches
pasta
story time, then playing with the puzzles, but no stamp
all the kids get a stamp on their hand afterwards, but savi continues to tell me no-the time I forced her to get one she screamed and wiped it off. Now when we go into the story room she shows me her hand and shakes her head no, so hey she knows what she wants. I'm glad she can communicate it with me at least. It's just a stamp, no biggie if she doesn't want it-but I ask each time just in case she's changed her mind :)
BIG trucks on the road
noises, she points and stops everything she's doing if she's in the house and hears an airplane or truck
saying 'silly' at things that I say silly to or that she thinks is silly
being wrapped up in her blanky after her bath
STICKERS-we make the hugest mess, but she loves it!!! She gets the tiniest stickers off the sheet and puts them on the paper.
saying yes and no to everything, surprisingly appropriately too
granddaddy getting sugar from her neck
running all around with the kids next door
her cousins
looking at pictures and having me tell her who everyone is

Oh it's always something new, I love being a mommy!
Edible Art class starts today, we are so excited!

Happy New Year

Great weekend with great family as usual, they're the best! We spent Friday with Savi's three boy cousins, wow was she exhausted after trying to keep up with them...it was so cute to see her around all those boys.  Feeding the ducks was lots of fun! What blessings, just watching our kids play together was so much fun for me and my sis. We saw her other cousins New Years Eve and grandparents New Years Day. She loved watching the horses and dogs during the parade on TV.

What a great and inspiring service at church on Sunday too. Savi's doing well in the nursery now, so we could actually focus, take notes and soak in the pastor's message. What a great one it was! You have got to find a church where God is there and alive, poking your heart as the Word is being delivered. I can't imagine just going to go through the motions, I need to feel it touch me and get into my soul. It took a while for us to connect with a church after Old Southern closed, but now we are feeling 'alive' again with the sermons. You have to open your heart and be there to receive it. You have to do your part, your spiritual growth doesn't happen by accident.

The title of the sermon was, 'How to Face Your Future.'

Our future isn't determined, we can go at any time. Are you living the life you'd want to live if it was your last day??? Just a thought...have a blessed week!
