Lucas' 2 Month Check Up

Well we were a little late, so we'll call it his 2.5 month check up. The doctor said he looks great! He had a couple little things he was on medication for, so now they're all cleared up and free of meds :) He weighs 12 pounds (41 percentile) and is 23 inches long (46 percentile) and his head circumference in the 6th percentile. He is such a sweet boy who loves his swing and looking up at the entertainment mat. I have some really cute pics of Savi attempting to hold him, so I'll post them soon.

Out with the old, in with the new

We are settled in our new home and doing great! The anticipation of moving and leaving what was home was much more than the actual act of it. It's amazing how much family and friends pull together when you need them. I am so incredibly amazed at how much love and support we felt during the process of our move. I am in disbelief at how helpful everyone was, so thank you, thank you, thank you to all who helped us. We truly are blessed with great people in our lives.

We have realized that all we need is God, love and our family to make a house a home. We are living our normal life, just in a different place. We have enjoyed walks to the park and playing outside in the water just like we did in Huntington.

I can't imagine how much more 'stuff' I would have accumulated living in the same house another 5 years. I definitely enjoyed cleaning out and reorganizing drawers, closets, boxes etc. I feel like it's a fresh new start. Savannah is doing great and loves her new room. It just goes to show how resilient kids truly are. She has mommy, daddy, beeebeee and Rock, and that's all she needs in her little world. Lucas is doing great in his big boy crib and room. He slept through the night last night, yaaaaaay! I love my babies so very much, and am enjoying making this house a home.

Words to Live By

Never underestimate the powerful impact you can have on your family, friends and the world around you.

Don't waste time complaining about what's wrong, what you don't have, or what other people are thinking or doing

Celebrate what's right in your life.

Enjoy what you have.

Pray instead of worrying.

Accept and be content with the circumstances around you.

Have hope instead of despair.

Choose to love instead of hate.

Choose to experience joy instead of bitterness.

Most importantly, enjoy being with the ones who are most dear to you.

'I can do everything through him who gives me strength.'

Catching up on pics

Cuddling with Granddaddy

She insisted that I put the 'beeby down'
on her play changing table that she loves. She pretended
to change his diaper and give him a bath. This is rare, so
I had to capture it.
Cousin and uncle fun. They love the water!

Uncle Jon Jon

She is all about her beeebies more than ever.
She's changing her diaper, then put her over her shoulder
to burp her. I love how observant she is.

What a fun visit from Aunty Ann, Great Grandma Diersing,
Aunt Elaine and cousin Natalie.

He's practicing raising his hand for school, I'm
training him at a young age :)

This little girl is all about gadgets and figuring
things out, much like her daddy. Pushing the buttons on the
microwave and putting in and taking out all of her stuff
allowed me to get about 5 boxes packed.
Inside of the microwave was her kitty, daddy's coffee mug,
and her two play high heel shoes. She sat there opening
and closing it for about 45 minutes. So glad she didn't figure
out where the start button is.

Playtime outside with John and Rylee in the
back of Uncle Joe's truck...the simple joys in life!

This is cheeeeese with a serious face.
Funny pic, but it's just so her. She always has random things in her hands.

Lucas was just loving all the attention from Ben who lives
down the street. He's getting so big and is such a happy boy.
2 months today!

Things are lookin' up

We are feeling much better and healthy from the little bug that ran through our house. Things are seeming to get back to normal, and the kids and I are feeling better. Lucas is now 11 1/2 pounds and Savannah is 22 pounds. He's doing great, just eating a whole bunch. He is now lifting his arms up, smiling at us, cooing and reacting to different objects. He's such a sweet little boy. Savannah doesn't mind him too much, but does tell me to put him down so that I can hold her. I try to find time throughout the day where I get to spend quality time with each of them...they both are so easy to love, kiss, teach, laugh with, and the list goes on. They are truly my world and I love them so very much.
