Time Management

From an author that I admire and have learned so much from...

Twelve Tips for Time Management (each goes into more detail but I'll try to sum it up)

1. Plan in detail-the more you plan, the better you manage and the more you achieve-morning and night.
2. Deal with today-what you are today is what you are becoming.
3. Value each minute-it's priceless or worthless-depending on how you use it.
4. Keep moving-a body at rest tends to remain at rest, and a body in motion tends to remain in motion.
5. Develop a routine-horizontal planning. Try to put as many tasks as possible into a routine.
6. Exercise and diet-It's a way of life-it gives you energy and the health you need.

That's it for now, I'll try to add the other 6 another time.

Granddaddy Time

Mr. Luke loved playing with Granddaddy.
He's always been good at making others feel special...
I love seeing how it's trickling down to my babies.

Learning and coloring with Granddaddy.
He will always try to steal some sugar from any
little kiddo in sight.

aNiMaLs GaLoRe

On Tuesday we went to the Irvine Park, one of Savi's favorite places. We
can always count on a peacock greeting us at the car.

This was a moment I will always remember. She is pretty
much in love with horses, and she told me from the moment
we pulled up that she wanted to go on the horse.
I figured she'd be too scared once she got onto Rocky, but she absolutely loved it.
She in no time let go of my hand and had such a sweet, serious, peaceful look
on her face the whole time. She thought it was hilarious that he had
to stop to go pee pee. What a special time! Oh, and I got a great video too :)

The next day we went to Rancho Las Lomas. Kara was so
sweet to take us on a little tour looking at all of the animals.
They loved it! We even got to see the zoo keeper feed the white tigers
horse meat. Rylee and Savi got pretty close to them, we told them they
were just real big kitties.

They were so focused watching them eat.

Checking out the birdies.
She picked a lime that she didn't want to let go.

We also got to watch this big guy eat.
I'm so grateful that I'm able to home with my babies
so much to teach them and make so many memories, it's what it's all about.

Lucas is 4 months!

Time is flying by. My little guy is already 4 months! He is so sweet and full of smiles. He is such a good little baby. He coos in the morning and seems so peaceful doing so. I call him my little owl and coo back at him. My mother-in-law said it perfectly-she said, 'It's like he's your little boyfriend huh?' So, yes, I call him my little boyfriend. I look forward to his sweet, giddy little smile each day.

He's still a big eater, loves his bottles and rice cereal. Next is all of the yummy veggies. He's trying to roll over, but has only gotten to his side so far. He loves the jump a roo, and holds his head up so well. We are so grateful for both of my babies and their health.

the beauty of a smile

I read and I pray and I strive to be the best I can be in many aspects of my life. One that I'm writing about right now is about being a mommy.

What are my kids going to picture when they hear the word mother? Will they think of a pleasant, encouraging, uplifting woman with a warm expression and a cheerful disposition, or a haggard lady shaking her head from side to side with a disappointed expression on her face, or maybe an angry woman, or one that didn't have enough time for them? The book I'm reading right now poses that question...How exactly is it that we model the 'warm and cheerful' mom?

"A cheerful look brings joy to the heart." Proverbs 15:30

A smile takes fewer muscles than to frown. The book explains that a simple smile offered on a daily basis can make a huge difference in our children and how they view their lives, their days, and their mother. When we smile, it lifts peoples spirits around us-wouldn't we want to do that for our children? When someone smiles at you, don't you feel uplifted and encouraged? Pass it on to those who are most dear to our hearts, our babies...

'A cheerful heart is good medicine.' Proverbs 17:22

Annual Diersing Vacay

Oh what a great time we had at the river with our family.
I feel so blessed to have such a close and amazing family.

Watch out, Savi's on the road

My happy girl. She loved the duckies by the dock.

Love these girls.
Savi had such a fun time with all of her cousins.

Cousin Rylee and Uncle Joe Joe. He loves his baby
girl so much!

This pretty much sums up what Mr. Luke did all day...

I thought I was going to die!
No really, I haven't been that scared in a long time.
Thankfully Sarah was giving me and Teri tips
on how to survive the ride as we were whipping around.
We had a blast!

He is so sweet, just goes with the flow.

Just hangin out. Savi was having her nana time. She loves
her nana so much!
Cousin Liana and Luke were swing buddies.
She was such an angel...

My favorite boys...Mike is such an amazing daddy.
