Time has slipped by and I forgot about blogging. We have just been loving family time since Mike's been done with his big test, which I must say he did absolutely fantastic on. He is such a hard worker who dedicates so much effort to doing his best at whatever is at hand. One of the many reasons I love him so much.
As I was reflecting back and writing in Savi's journal today I shed some tears. Tears of joy, happiness, a little bit of guilt, and laughter. I realized how much change has come up in her little world in the last few months. Yes, I know, kids are resilient and I've seen that first hand, but it does hit you a little regardless when change that has occurred is because of choices you chose to make. She has gained a new brother, a new living arrangement and a new home all in 3 months. I think she is just now adjusting and feeling 'normal.' Well, maybe it's just me and now I'm able to see her more at ease and happy. All I know is I finally have felt lately like things are smooth and back to normal.
Lucas is doing so great, and Savannah and I are back to our normal routine. He doesn't mind one bit when she attempts to feed him, or when she changes his diaper. I'm thinking he kind of enjoys his big sister using him as her dolly :) It's so precious the way he looks up at her and smiles, it melts my heart. Savi loves to read, play outside in the water, and do crafts. Now it's even more fun because beeebeee (Lucas) gets to be involved too. Lucas just loves his sissy more each day. She thinks it's so much fun to choose a book from his book basket at night for him to read. She still loves her sleep, and will hang out in her room until I get her. Sometimes she'll just stay in there for hours, literally! She is so good at just entertaining herself. I miss her, so I sneak in to see if she's up and there she is just playing with a doll or reading a book, or sometimes just singing looking out the window.
A couple other big things in her little world. She is almost totally potty trained (we haven't attempted night time yet). She enjoys her teeeet (treat) after she goes potty. She also is no longer a thumb sucker. This little girl is so quick at learning, and a direction follower that's for sure! She's growing up so fast.
This is an all over the place post, but I'm just loving my babies, family and God. We are loving our new church and enjoying the message and music so much each week.
I'll post some pics next time...
